  • Review: I got this to take ideas and phrases while on the move, and to capture semi-fidelity radio station samples while traveling or late at night. It's definitely a lot easier to use than the olympus I gave up on a few years ago, and the 'hold' battery drain is vastly better. I could use a better tactile feel for the record and stop buttons at night in a car, but I think a few dots of fabric paint could cure that. Even as is, it's a quick and very safe way to do notes. As for recording sources, if I stay with the SP mode I get 44 hrs of 'better than phone' recording with a patch cable to a headphone jack. Really fun for lofi odd AM or big-band or college stuff from afar, deciding to buy hifi MP3s later. There are hi-fi modes, but the hours drop drastically. Making real MP3s and transferring them to a PC is at least $35 more...other models. You cannot expect that in a $30-40 recorder. This is a very solid, handy, quality unit. Whatever you do, don't through your cash away on those dumpy drugstore recorders. This is excellent stuff for the same price. If you are in a rush, this is at WalMart, although for more $ than here.

  • Review: I bought this to replace my ICD-B100 that I dropped in water.

The Good: Battery life is very much improved over previous models because of its sleep feature. Major plus. +++

The sound quality is also improved over previous. +++

The Not so good: Switching between folders (I use one per day) is a pain and requires six button pushes versus one before.

    The Bad: None really.

Conclusion: Nice unit for the money.

  • Review: I was and still am very happy with this recorder.I wish it had a USB port, but then I knew that when I bought it.Very sensitive mic, picks up a lot.
For the price,I highly recommend it.Not a high battery drainer either.Left it to record all night long and still had battery life left when I got up.
This little recorder will even pick up spirit EVP's.I know,I got some.

  • Review: I bought this as a gift. It did not work for the person and by the time it was received it was too late to return. Bought for an older person. Found it difficult to use.

  • Review: This was a gift. The young man who received the gift has thanked me for voice recorder. He composes music and not sure how he uses the gift BUT I know he thanked me very much.
