  • Review: I bought this product during the Black Friday Sale, to date I have no regrets. I just love it. Battery life is good , the quality of the video is good. I only use it for music videos. Converting videos files using the converter provided by sandisk is quite simple. All in all its an excellent player.

  • Review: If you take care of these, they keep their value. A side effect of having no moving parts is that these things stay fresh longer. This is (I think?) my 6th Sansa and I have resold all of them for close to what I paid for them. I do this every time I upgrade to a larger version, or decide I want something new. I get all mine refurbished and have never had a dud. These are so much cheaper than ipods and much more useful. And yes, you can get little docks and toys for them - you just have to shop around. I think they all come with the exact same connector (except the clip and clip+. They use mini usb).

So there's something else to consider when you buy one of these players. Buy a nice model with your initial cash then upgrade it whenever you want, just like you do with a good car. I can't wait to see what San Disk comes up with next.

  • Review: It's supposed to be easy to load a video into the Fuze...forget it! We're supposed to be able to drag the video (in any of a number of popular formats) into the provided Sansa Media Converter software, and then just drag and drop the converted video into the Fuze itself.

That doesn't work. I called tech support and they told me it's a known problem and that my issue was escalated to a senior technician who would contact me in 24-48 hours. 48 hours later, no contact so I called again. This time I was told that the senior technician to whom the case was assigned was on leave and he would contact me once he got back and was able to familiarize himself with the case. Maybe 24 hours. !!!!?????

This is for a known issue.

So we have a product from a major company that doesn't work because of a known issue, with only one senior technician authorized to handle it, but the senior technician is gone for days and they don't know when he'll be back.

This is almost too bizarre to contemplate.

  • Review: I like the SanDisk Sansa so this is a FYI message. I needed to charge the Sansa player so I pluged it into my Daughters Mac note book and it wiped out all data on my Sansa player. I wish I knew that before I plugged it in.
